More than 100,000 fans are expected at the Big House this Saturday to watch Manchester United take on Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup. In addition, Saturday’s game will be broadcast in 40 countries.
Preparations for the preseason tournament are well underway. For the first time since 2002 a natural grass playing surface has been added to the University of Michigan football stadium. Alcohol sales have been approved for the soccer match and a large hospitality tent is now erected on the northern part of Pioneer High School’s property.
The day of the game TheRide will provide its FootballRide shuttle service. It will run approximately every 20 minutes starting at 1:30 p.m., dropping passengers off at Gate 2. Shuttles will run for approximately 90 minutes after the game and pick up passengers at assigned locations between Main Street and Kipke Drive via Gate 2.
Join in the fun at the pregame celebration this Friday, August 1st hosted by the Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (AAACVB). The event will run from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm in downtown Ann Arbor and feature two stages with live music.
