Beer, Brats, and Fun at Riverside Arts Center

Are you looking to celebrate OktoberFest in Washtenaw County?  This Sunday, October 12, the Riverside Arts Center is having their 9th Annual OktoberFest fundraiser.  The event will take place from 4-7pm in the Riverside Gallery. The event will have traditional fare including brats, beer and klezmer music by Klezmer R & D. Attendees will also be able to enjoy art from the Great Lakes “Small Works” Exhibit.

This exciting event supports the Riverside Arts Center. The Riverside Arts Center is a non-profit multi-purpose cultural arts venue providing performance, exhibit, studio and reception space for artists and art cultural organizations to enrich the Ypsilanti community through the arts and cultural experiences.

Live Music, Authentic German Food, and Car Shows: The 2013 Saline Oktoberfest Begins

An annual celebration of art, culture, great food and music, Saline’s Oktoberfest celebrates Saline’s sister city relationship with Lindenberg, Germany. This year, Oktoberfest will take place on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28.

Visitors will enjoy a juried art show, a traditional Bier Garden and German food favorites, Fireman’s Chili Challenge, a delicious bake sale, and all-day live music on the Main Stage and Local Stage.

New events include a Volkswagon Vintage Car Show and a National Plug-in Day Electric Vehicle Car Show on Saturday as well as the expansion of the children’s area, Kinderplatz, which will be Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on North Ann Arbor Street. A children’s music concert with Tim, the Music Man will take place at both 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 pm.
